Operated direct link

A direct link between two CSDs where a third party, typically a custodian bank, operates the account in the issuer CSD on behalf of the investor CSD. In this case, the responsibility for the obligations and liabilities in connection with the registration, transfers and the custody of securities remain legally enforceable only between the investor CSD and the issuer CSD.
