Maturity
The date on which the principal or nominal value of a bond becomes due and payable in full to the holder. Regularly used in connection with debt securities (referring to the date or repayment) or derivatives (referring to the date when fulfilment of a forward transaction falls due).
A measure of the scheduled life of a loan. The remaining time in years that a borrower is permitted to take to fully discharge their contractual obligation (principal, interest and fees) under the terms of a loan agreement.
