Management fee
1. In portfolio management, the amount a mutual fund pays to its investment advisor for the investment management associated with overseeing the fund´s portfolio. 2. In venture capital, an annual charge frequently amounting to 2-/12 percent of the sum invested. Some investors are advocating that the larger funds making later-stage investments reduce the fee as their portfolio companies are thought to require less management time. Others argue that the fee should decline as a fund matures and fewer new investments are being made.
