Custodian

An entity, often a bank or trust that holds a fund´s assets (stocks, bonds, cash, and other securities) and handles payments and receipts for the fund´s securities transactions. It administers securities for its customers and may provide various other services, including clearance and settlement, cash management, foreign exchange and securities lending.
