Credit limit
Limit on the credit exposure a system participant incurs vis-Ã -vis another participant (bilateral credit limit) or vis-Ã -vis all other participants (multilateral credit limit) as a result of receiving payments that have not yet been settled. Limits may be set by each individual participant or may be imposed by the body managing the system.
