Consortium

All of the participants or developers associated with a specific project. In the early stage of a project, it may be a loose association not a legal or contractual entity or joint venture. Unlike a joint venture, a consortium does not work on the joint account and risk of its members. Instead, each member assumes a portion of the total work and delivers it on its own account and risk. All members are jointly and severally liable to the client, however.
