Chip and PIN

A system to reduce card fraud. A chip and PIN card has a ´smart´ chip that holds a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). When one pays in a shop with a chip and PIN card, one will be asked to enter the personal PIN into a keypad instead of signing a receipt. This PIN is the same number that is used to withdraw money at a cash machine.
