Behaviour score (Performance Score)
A statistical means for banking institutions of assessing the up-to-date risk for existing customers through internal behavioural data. It is an internal predictor of default or other bad "state" of the loan over a given horizon. The scores are produced for existing accounts (post-origination) and are based on a variety of account specific attributes. For instance, a credit card behaviour score might be based on the current (external) bureau score, along with internal account data such as credit line, cash line, credit utilisation, cash utilisation, delinquency history, and geographic location. The score is recalculated regularly (typically monthly).
